I went to my local four wheeling shop (J**ps of course....) to ask about their tire prices. It started out w/ the yuppie land rover attitude, especially seeing as i'm 17... But after we got to talkin', he said there's no way he'd put 235/85's on there because it's a 10-ply tire and would make a horrible city ride in the car. I just want to know what the people i trust think and know on this matter. I'm thinking of going w/ BFG All-Terrain T/A KO's as of right now, but any advice on the tires would be great. The guy was probably jealous, but i just wanna know the truth, seeing as most of my driving will be on road, and off roading on the weekends.

brad,
235/85's specially a/t's will be a nice ride. mud terrains are most common and even that is not bad. even if it's any noisy later on when they get chewed up... you'll still like it. i have 265/75 bfg mt's on my d2 and the shop didn't want to install it on my disco because it was going to rub, blah, blah, blah... i signed a paper i wasn't going to come back and sue their asses and paid the money. just forget about it.

Brad, just go to your local Pep Boys and get a set of Futura 235/85/16 Enforcer MT's. They are great tires, and one of the best values around. I run a set on my Disco.

Brad, you've seen the M/T's in the 235/85 size on my classic, don't listen to the guy, I can't tell much of a difference in the ride, and if ya wan't I'll let you drive mine to prove it.
