I just had the brakes and rotors replaced on my 97 Discovery SE (US Model). This morning, I noticed the Anti-Lock Warning light illuminate while driving and stay lit for about 3-5 minutes. It extinguished and then re-lit about 2 minutes later. It also extinguished and has stayed that way for the remainder of the trip.

Is there anything to be concerned about here? What could be faulting the sensor?

Thanks

bryan

Could be a fault in the sensor, but I had the same problem, and it was the guys who worked on the car, when the codes were run, I had "an airgap"...all they have to do is tap the sensor back into it's correct place. Not a problem. My ABS still worked, and I know a lot of people just unplug the bulb! Hoep that helps. I will tell you that I bought the shop book and electrical guide for my "96 Disco SE!

Very often during brake rotor replacement, the ABS sensor gets knocked back during the dismantling process, resulting in an Antilock light and an annoyed customer. (please, don't ask me how I know!) The sensor is in a rubber bushing and can usually be pushed back into place with very gentle pressure from a punch and a small hammer. Did I mention gentle pressure?

Gee - I always used my BFH, no wonder my ABS doesn't work anymore! :-) (see you this weekend Trevor)
