Hey Guys,

I replaced my bent track rod and now I need an alignment.. My father an I did it on our own after just putting it in and it seems fine (they wander anyway)..

but before I put the new track rod in I had my steering aligned at LR and now with a new *straight* track rod the steering is a bit off.. I am thinking I could just adjust that myself right? The front steering rod? Just pop the one tie rod off that connects to the steering arm and adjust the threading on it? Right?

Let me know.. Also, where should I go to get her aligned if this doesn't work out?

Ben, 94 Disco..

Yes,

The only adjustment is for tow. She should have zero tow to just a RCH of tow out. You can do it with a tape measure on the tire centers or buy wrapping a string around the entire vehicle and adjusting untill it just touches both outside edges of both front tires. There is an adjustment sleeve on one side of the track rod.
