Right now, my truck has the stock bumper minus the airdamn for off-road clearance. I use the passenger side frame mounting point for the front recovery JATE ring.

From what I have seen, the only steering damper relocation kits on the market use this frame mounting point which means I will lose my recovery point.

I'd like to get the damper out of the way, but need to keep a point up front I can be winched/snatched out from. I know this could be resolved with a replacement front bumper, but have other plans for that money right now.

Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

Thanks,

Jeff

Just put the Jate ring on the opposite side the the damper frame mount is on. One recovery point on the front works fine 99% of the time. Also the stock Disco recovery loop (bolted on where the bumper attaches) works fine to - that is what it is built for. Pretty much you can use anything except the welded on tie down hoop on the frame.

Thanks. I'll peek under there on the opposite side tonight.

The stock loop is OK for straight pulls, but I've seen them bend badly when used at an angle.
