I am getting ready to put 235/85/16 Goodyear mtr's with 2" Rover Tym springs on my 1998 Disco 1.

what shocks should I go with?
OME or Rancho 9000. What part #'s.

I don't want to have to change the shock mounts yet.

Also how much of a power loss am I going to have with the 235/85/16's.

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks,
Jeff

Not sure how they would match the spring rate of your springs, but the OME's are a damn good shock. As far as I know the Ranchos are just a generic shock....not really designed for Discos.

Ask rovertym. They have the shock numbers for the ranchos. OME are too short IMHO

The OME's have a little less travel than the stock shocks (1/4 inch or so). Rancho RS9000 shocks give you much more travel (9234's in the rear give 5.5+ inches) for very extra little cost. OME's are definately better made than the Rancho shocks.

LoL,
Mike

OME is a great shock.

There will be a considerable power loss with 235s
