My 97 discovery had stock LR fog lights mounted on the brush guard. I would like to upgrade these lights to Hella 4000s. Is the stock wiring harness able to handle two 4000s, or should I just make a new harness and leave the old connections unused? The 4000s are 100 watts each. Thanks for any help.

I am running two Hella 4000's with 100w bulbs of the stock harness, and have not had any problems.
The wire gauge of the stock harness is the same gauge as the wires used inside the 4k's.

I'm interested in doing the same, can I simply cut the wire just off the fog lamps and splice the 4000's onto them?
