WOW,
That made a huge difference. It looks really great. Unfortunately, this makes me want to spend the money to do the same to my DISCO.

Did you have to use the wheel spacers to prevent rubbing?

Looks good. Did you go with the medium duty or heavy duty? What is your ramp travel index now?

I put on the wheel spacers to prevent rubbing and to maintain better than stock turning radius.

I was told that I didn't have to put on the wheel spacers. Without I would only have minimal rubbing.

I don't know what the stock ramp index is? What is it?

Where in the Los Angeles area can I check my ramp index.

Thanks,
Jeff

Where did you get the wheel spacers? I am looking for something less expensive than the RoverTyms.

Thanks,
Mike

I got the wheel spacers from Rover accessories. Same price as Rovertym.

Jeff,
The disco looks great!

How did you manage better than stock steering radius with more offset wheels? This should automaticaly increase the radius especially with wider tires (due to more scrub). Were you able to adjust the steering stops for better radius, or what? Did you actually measure the turning circle?

Thanks.

We adjusted the steering stops and the spacers allow more clearance for the 265/75/16 tires.

I will measure the turning radius later today.

Hi,

Looks very nice. Where did you get the 1/2 spacer for the springs, and how much? Thanks.

Thanks Jeff. My stops are adjusted to allow minimum radius already. Getting spacers or more offset wheels will only decrease the already miserable readius I have. But plan on getting them anyway.

Let us know how your measurements turn out.

This is probably a stupid question, but do the 1/2 inch spring spacers increase the lift over the springs? So you really got about 2 inchs of lift?

spacers simply elevate the base platform that springs rest on, thereby increasing the overall lift. 1.5" longer spring + 0.5" spacer = 2" overall apparent lift.
