Has anyone had problems with the electric, liquid filled mirror? An air bubble has appeared in mine which takes up about 1/3 of the area. This part doesn't darken when turned on. Is there a repair for this, or does it need to be replaced?

This sound like a pretty common issue with these mirrors. Most of them are made by Connelly. They have a website if you want to buy another one or complain about your 'bad' one. Beware of the toxic goop.......it can drip onto your dash or whatever and eat away at it pretty good. If your truck is still under warranty then your dealer should be footing the bill. Otherwise (like me) put a $15 manual dimming mirror in or fork out the $250 or so for a new one.

I just replaced my mirror. I looked for a used mirror, but after one or two deals fell through, I gave up and bought a new one. Nathan Crabtree gave me a great price. (relatively). My goop never came out and to this day, I'm not sure where it went. I suppose it is still in the housing. I replaced it because I did not want it to start leaking and destroy the dash.

Replacement was pretty easy, but not without some wierdness. Let me know if you need any help.
