pjkbrit,
I'd love to see and hear about this in depth (not taking a shot at your posting skills, ha). This looks complicated for DIY. What caused you to undertake the effort. Maybe this can get posted in the tech section.

ps. I thought I did a lot of work replacing springs and shocks this weekend, but that looks easy compared to this.

Thanks Todd...I am better at mechanics than at posting pics to the web fortunately!! Did this as part of my upgrade program...RPI ig. amp, K&N, Magnacor, and finally the RP4 cam kit. The old cam was shot...2 lobes were breaking up and you don't want that in your engine for long. Tell tale noises were there, (light rapping noise) so it was time to yank the old cam etc. Also did the timing chain as the old chain was longer than spec., worn out of course. BUT...I think I got the valve timing one cog wrong which I am in the middle of correcting cos I don't have the power I was expecting...will keep you posted.

Pete,
Now you're talking good mechanical fun!
Please post more pictures, more details, more, more... How about a write-up, from your diagnosis thru correcting the timing ;-)

Pete, you can just email the photos to Ho at [email protected] along with your comments, and he will build a page in the tech section. That way you don't have to bother with uploading them yourself.
