I am looking to replace my stock Michelin tires on my Discovery and am looking at the Dunlop Rover Series tires. I will only be using these tires about 20-30% off road. I live in the mid atlantic area and travel a good amount to Vermont during ski season and need a decent tire for the snow as well. There is the Rover RV and the Rover R/T. Any suggestions?
Thank you~

get the R/T EVERYONE who has them loves them, quiet, awesome in snow, good in mud.

ditto...I have the R/T's and I can't say enough good things about these tires....you will not be disappointed.....they also have the holes for snow studs if you need them.....

Don't Forget the BfGoodrich Trac Edges, another great tire, good price, durable, and somewhat more agressive side lugs that the R/T...
215/85 16's if you fear rubbing, still almost two inches taller than stock...
245/75 16's if you don't mind adjusting your steering stops, and minor trim/tweek of the trailing edge of the rear fender wells...

I was going to go with the 225/75 16.......any reason not to go with this size?
Thanks

I can get Dunlop Rover R/T's for $102/each and that includes shipping, 24 hour roadside assistance for the tires and road hazard replacement for the life of the tire. This is at www.etires.com The original Michelin's on these trucks are at least $150/each. I did not price any real off-road Michelin's though. Figured their prices would be pretty high.

I think I paid $537.00 for a set of (5) 245/75/16 R/T's mounted balanced, etc, etc at Just Tires (starngely enough a Goodyear subsidiary).
