94 disco with an infuriating squeak coming from the leather steering wheel,has anyone had this happen?If so could you tell me how to cure it,dont want to jump in and set off the airbag.

yeah...i had that...
ok...i was very primitive in what i did but it worked...I greased up anything that had to do with the steering system, inside out!
i do not advise you on doing that...but it worked for me...
p.s. i have no airbags

i took my Disco to my local dealer and they replaced some part for like $50, and the squeaking never returned.

Mine (TDI) squeaks on left hand turns only its new and they say its common to all disco's, I must admit it happened on my V8 as well.

Fixed the squeak,looking from in the footwell, it became apparent that the noise was'nt coming from the wheel itself,but from further down the colum,there is a small box like thingy just before the bulkhead [colum runs though],copius amounts of WD40 and no more infernal squeaking.
