Hi,
has anyone had problems with a rev' counter that stops working, esp' when the engine is cold, or when you stop at junctions when the engine is warm? I had a new alternator put on, since it takes its readings off that, and it worked
perfectly for about 2 months, but its started doing it again. With this, when it is about to begin working again and the rev' counter needle starts pushing up from 0 to about 2-300 revs on the scale, which it does for a mile or 5, it screeches a really high pitched noise, almost like a loose fan belt, but much, much louder. As soon as the needle pops up again to register the correct revs, the screeching stops. (And I thought these suckers were electric)!
Thanks,
Simon
(I've got the recall notice too, but have had more problems with our Infiniti than the Disco, so its no sweat!)
