About a week ago I went to Land Rover Richmond and they reset my base idle for my 95 Disco.

The weather was kind of cool at the time and I noticed the vehicle was reving at about 500 instead of the 700 that it did before.

This week when the weather got warm I am having strange but not "everytime driving" experiences with my disco.
The engine is still reving low but sometimes at stops it will completely shut down..

Did they set it to low or is this a big problemo??

Will

It sounds like the base idle is too low.

Its easy to find out....just check it.

Get engine to normal operating temps. Remove the vacuum line from the distributor, block off the stepper motor air lines, and set your base idle.

Check the shop manual for detailed instructions.
