HAs anyone tried these on a disco (2001 sd) I just got the disco and i have a set on my wrangler. Also, looking for other suggestions for the disco,bumper/winch set-ups, lifts and rear bumper...

Thornbirds suck. 255 85s would probably fit on a DII with an OME HD lift though.

Thornbirds were concieved in order to compromise everything...
After researching which superswamper to buy (TSLs radials or TBs)...I tried 2 identical G-Wagons with TBs on one and TSLs on the other...on the road, there is NO difference, on rocks, mud, snow, and grass, the TSLs won hands down...
The only thing that I can safely say for the TBs is that they were quieter, looked better (who cares if your stuck!), and were a little more comfy...but with some less air out of the TSLs, you'll be as comfy...
I chose the TSLs radial 265/80 16...best things ever on the Disco right now!

I never had a problem with tb's but a jeep is a lot differnt than a disco. I went with the tb's because i had a set of bfg mud terrain ta's and the jeep sounded like a 747 on the highway. what's the road noise like, i really don't care about the noise but it drives my girlfriend crazy. Anyways. it's my truck not hers! Also, how much lift ands what happens to the turning radius...

TBs on a heavy Disco do not work well like on a lighter Jeep (I am assuming)

To fit the 265/80 16s, well, not much to it:

2-3" lift
stock alloys will do
wheel spacers if you want will save your turning radius, which will get affected somewhat...
you also need to cut the rear wheel arch right behind the tire...

if you need any more help, feel free to contact me

boggers seem to be cool lookin', they make them in 31x10.5-15 now. So it will fit the Disco, but they should be really loud on-road, but un-stoppable off-road.

For your SD DSII, the 40mm OME lift will allow you to run 33x10.5x16 Super Swamper TSL Radials with an aftermarket or trimmed front bumper.

For pics, check my rig and bumper on the hope page of disco2.com. I custom build the DSII bumpers to your winch, recovery points, and lighting choices.

Holler for more info.

Also, you should join the disco2owners to be on top of the DSII modification world.
