I had the Jacobs 8.8mm wires. Put them on about 3 weeks ago. Last week my idle seemed a little odd. Went to check the plugs this weekend and 3 of the wires came apart. Switched to Accel 8mm. I won't be using the Jacobs again.

What year model do you own? All I've found for my '97 is Magnecore. Do you know of any part #s I can reference at a local store?

My truck's a '95. I bought the performance V8 "cut them yourself" kit. You can get them in various diameters, colors, and boot configurations at most any parts store. Took my time, 8mm wires (at least these) can use the stock looms. VERY clean install.

Hey Wisker,

Please don't take this the wrong way, but your last post probably explains it. The Cut then yourself kit requires the user to assemble the ends. Is it possible they were not assembled properly? I've had Jacobs wires on three cars, all with great success, hence my apprehension to your post...

Scott,
The Jacobs were assembled when they arrived. My second post refers to the Accel wires. I thought that's what Gabe was looking for. I wasn't that impressed with a lot of things about Jacobs, but if you've had good luck with them do whatever works for you. I may have got a bad batch, who knows? Just posting what happened to me. No offence taken . . . I'll be the first to admit when I screw up.

Thanks for the info but I don't know if the "boot fits" (pun intended....)
I've got a 97 which has a different set up than a rotor. I'll definately check them out though. I don't see what difference the bar-type ignition set up should make to the wire mountings but I'll check anyway.
