I was apprehensive for a long time...hemmed and hawwed too. I decided to dive in!! 95 disco now has RTE 2" lift...and the 235/85 Enforcers M/T from Pep Boys (thank you Axel for your recomendation). I mounted these on 4 Disco steel 16" rims.

I do, still have the sway bars on...soon I will make some quick release for these.

To my surprise, I drove around town for 2 weeks
with any trimming. Finally in my yard on a stone wall, I articulated as far as I could before catching the tire lugs on the rear fender.

Then I whipped out the air saw!!!
Very little trimming was neccessary!!
If anyone (not on the Disco-web, of course) was looking at the truck, they would never notice the missing aluminum.

I thought long and hard about this move for weeks..and would recomend, that if your second guessing yourself...don't. It was easy, quick and still have stock looking quarter panels.

Just remember, I have seen how much more you need to cut out for the 265/75's...a little more noticable...but still, really not a big deal.

Thank you DiscoWeb, for being such a viable resource...

I did take some close up shots...and will email if anyone is interested.

how much power did you lose, and does your Rovertym lift have every part?

A Rover Tym lift can be ordered in several ways. If you want a full blown 3" set up John has one available. I was looking to get about 2.5 or so and only wanted springs and I had heard that RT has really good springs. When I swapped the springs, I also replaced the front shocks with Ranco 9000 (and I'm glad I did... couldn't get the originals to come off from the tower without torching them!) All said, my Disco has no extra weight so I got a little more than a 2" lift which is what I was aiming to get from the start. I'm also impressed with the handling and off-road performance... been in some hairy off-camber lines and survived without tipping. The only other thing I've come accross is that some state that they get Driveline vibrations up front after adding a lift, but not in my case... and my u-joints are fine (knocking on wood!)

My 2" set up is:

springs all around
rear shock upper mounts only
cones = for when I do remove the sway bar
RS9000's all around w/ remote/ in cabin control
RTE rear trailing links

ARB air bag bumper = not too happy with approach angle!
X9 whinch
RTE heavy duty nerf bar/sliders

Well...how about some pics? Darn it! Hurry up!

Glad you like your setup and thanks for sharing the item list. It helps us still-on-the-fence people.
