SURVIVAL TREK 2002
Ultimate OFFROAD ADVENTURE

When: 18 to 27 February 2002

Route: Pretoria (South Africa), Palapye (Botswana), Serowe, Lethlakane, Matshumo, Kubu Island, Njuca Hills, Phuduhudu, Pandamatenga, Nata, Francistown, Martinsdrift, Pretoria.

Cost: US$ 5,895.00 per person. Minimum of two persons per vehicle.

General Description: This safari is definitely not for the faint hearted. Man and machine will get to know each other, under some most difficult conditions. Mud, rain, standing water, all made more difficult by accurate navigation and sometimes dangerous animals such as lions and elephants, definitely makes this safari the ultimate. All will have the opportunity to do navigation and plan/control the crossing of obstacles. This is a team effort to reach a goal on a map.

Program: There is no set program, due to the fact that our daily progress will be determined by “elements” such as animals, sand, rain and mud. We will assist all with preparation of vehicles, what to take and what not to take, as well as other general preparation. We depart on 18 February 2002 from Pretoria (South Africa). On day one we will cross the border and set camp at Seleka Springs. On day two our aim will be to reach Kubu Island in the Sowa Pans of the greater Makgadikgadi Pans. We will be back on 27 February 2002.
