I remember reading on one of the post about a trip to truckhaven in January 2002? I think the post said it was a corva event? Does anyone have more info on this? I hope I am not starting a nasty rumor

Hey Brian!
Sure enough. There is a CORVA event scheduled for Jan 19, 2002. Checkout http://www.sclr.org 's calendar. It's God-awful ugly to read the page, but nonetheless should provide the info.
Several dwebbers have already said on and offline that they'd be attending.
Hope to see everyone from ICS there.

Javier & Brian,
I'll be there too. The CORVA Poker Run is always fun. I missed last year's when my Defender died so I'm especially eager to go to the upcoming run.

Is this considered a family event? My wife hear the stories and looked at the pics from the Iron Chef and she wants to attend next trip AND our two kids.

Jose,
I don't see why family members couldn't attend the Poker Run. A lot of those attending bring their families. Truckhaven is too crowded at that time for shooting, so the only hazards to children at Truckhaven will be exposure to people drinking and smoking around the campfire. Some people think this is a big deal; others don't think anything of it. I say bring the clan next time.

What's up John, Ho? Do you guys want to do lunch today (Tues)?
I may bring my wife as well. The kids will probably stay at the in-laws due to the reasons John mentioned. As well, I fear that they will be bored out of their minds sitting in the back seat for hours on end. Red Rock/Nightmare was trying 'cause they wanted to get out every chance they could. I can't say I blame them.
Looking forward to this event!!

I am busy making arrangements to be at the poker run Jan 19 '02. Maybe the tike can stay with Mom-in-law and my wife can come along. I just hope that my eyes readjust to the normal world by then (damn horrid red webpage...)

Javier,
Lunnch? If you see this in time, give me a call. We might have to do some King Taco action if you're free today.

Hey Jose, Blue!
This will be a nice run. The only fear I have is that unless they break up what appears may be a large turnout, we might be sitting and waiting for long periods of time. It will still be a blast to flex through those passes, though.
Hey, Blue, invite some of your X friends

Hey Guys!
Greg and I are planning on attending. It will be nice to see/meet some more of the wives Trevor loves going with us, but not sure at this point, he may have another thing going that Grandma can take him to (let's face it, I just want to cop a smoke around the fire, hehehe).
John, I need to talk to you like today (!) about some new suspension ... it's lunchtime, so I'll try you later.

Hey y'all- The great poker run is just 'round da corner. Looks like the Wife wants to go this year (!!!) Don't know about camping yet, her idea of camping is no room service. We will be doing Jay and Trissa's Jerk Chicken on Saturday night. Fresh from Jamaica, we have lots of Jerk seasoning and bottles of Appleton rum. Hope to see ya there.
