I know the CA boys are big Corona lovers, but being a big burly guy I like a real Canadian Beer! Molson Golden has quickly become my favorite trail beer this year. They don't go down nearly as quickly as a Corona so you can bring a few beers less than normal, which will help save room for those big porterhouse steaks.

Labatt Blue is good.. That's mostly what I drink while I'm there.. Well, if I drink Canadian beer that is.. Mostly just drink Black and Tans.

My favorite is their
Good ol' Guiness is great, too.
Coffee in the morning, and Pepsi or Mountain Dew most of the time, though.... I LOVE a good beer, but I DON'T like getting drunk... Nice to have one at the end the day... When I'm not driving!

Too many BAD memories... (No, keep the Bacardi 151 FAR away from me!!!!)
It's not the drunk that's bad, it's the next morning that I don't like....
So.....
Having a few is a good thing, but I just keep a lid on it so as not to have a bad morning the next day.....

10-4 on that. been a while since i got loaded, but being in a huge college town its hard to keep a lid on it so to speak. but certainly as i get older i tend to keep getting home earlier and earlier. now when you are talking 151 (aka moonshine) that is a different story. i don't touch the hard stuff unless it's mixed with something and that is still rare. i am beer man. good beer that is.

Good beer is a pleasure. Copious quantities are not needed, if it is REALLY good.

GP , You da man "phat angel " rocks .I also dig pollenater . Here in Ct. we have Cottrell and Seaport Ale newcomers that aren't half bad , but not as good as dem der Vt. brews .
By gp (Garrett) on Sunday, October 21, 2001 - 12:10 pm: Edit |
i am pretty partial to VT brews after living there for a few years. have to say that Hocus Pocus is another good one from Magic Hat. really all of them kick ass. and of course Copper Ale is an all time stand by as well from Otter Creek Brewery. and having spent a good amount in time in Maine as well i rarely strayed from Gritty McDuffs in portland. good stuff and some of the best bar food ever.
but of coure being a PA boy Yuengling Lager(americas oldest) is like IC Light to those Pittsburgh boys!! hehe sorry rob!! good inexpensive beer. $3 a pitcher here at psu bars.

Danno - Sorry about that. Didn't realize it was EAST SL. More to worry about there than what beer you drink. Glad you survived.

more to worry about? what do you mean?
By gp (Garrett) on Monday, October 22, 2001 - 11:03 am: Edit |
i grew up in st. louis (kirkwood actually) and use to play baseball over in east st. louis from time to time. i think that borders on child endangerment!!! some pretty nice casino's over there last time i drove over the bridge.

Well, maybe its just a bad rep. The first time I ended up in ESL, by accident, I thought I had dropped off the end of the earth. That's been a while back. I'm sure things could have changed. Of course, if that's your hood, you would probably feel a lot more comfortable there than a "tourist" like me. ;>)

I used to visit a customer is ESL that had the security doors stolen from the front of his business, and he once found a corpse in the storage trailer in back.
He said the rent was too low to move...
