Hmmm...it is not in their web-site(their web-site seems to be 1 month behind), but the Freelander won. It had an overall score of 92 and the jeep had an 88. They tied in off-road ability! The Jeep was marginally faster, but the Freelander got better fuel economy. They also said that the Freelander was the first Land Rover that they liked (????). I remember Car and Driver had this big SUV shoot out last year with the BMW X5, Land Rover Discovery, Acura MDX, Mercedes ML430, Lexus RX300, and some other luxury SUV's. The Disco came in dead last even though it recovered all of the competitors when they got stuck in an "off-road" coarse.

i think i've just heard of a car and driver worth buying.... all LRNA has to do is put an intelligent lease on the freelander and they should blow out the door. like $299 a month with 3k down. that would do nicely....

Well now that they are FINALLY advertising, perhaps they will realize the need to reorganize the financial side of things. At least ford has done SOMETHING good. If they don't screw up the construction/build/material/design factors, LR will do fine.
