Go to the practice area to see an example of the fictional message thread "What the heck is a stepper motor?"

In order to start a new message thread, you must start a new conversation. If for example you wish to ask the question: "What the heck is a stepper motor?", you would go to the Tech area of the board and create a new conversation with the subject: "What the heck is a stepper motor?" You would then type your entire question in the body of your message.

People have two options to reply to your message. They can either reply to your message by using the "Post a message" form. All messages entered this way, will be shown on the same page below your question.

Alternatively, people can create a subtopic to your topic (by using the Create New Conversation Button). This will create a new sub thread, and is similar to using the "Reply to this Message" button on the old board. People can then either post messages under this topic, or create yet another subtopic, and so on and so on....

If you wish to see all the messages in a tree view similar in appearance to the old BBS, select the "Tree View" button in the navigation panel to the left. This view will let you easily drill down through the various message threads.

If you find the interface of this new board confusing, feel free to use the Practice Area of the board to post test messages.
