do what simon says and also get some protection: front and rear diff. guards, sliders and some better treads. there is lots more to get if you like, but start with protecting your truck.

Also get a copy of the Moab video to see what your Disco is capable of.... And don't forget the ultimate off road accessory, DiscoWeb stickers!

I'm with Garrett - I was advised to go with rock sliders first, diff guards (I got both front and back), & tires. Even though it cost a pretty penny, and it wasn't as "sexy" as a lot of other mods, it was the best advice I ever got. The protection has more than paid for itself several times over in a very short period. Slammed the heck out of my left slider just a couple of weekends ago (you can also use your sliders to jack up your vehicle) - Someone else with us cracked their passenger door sill pretty bad ...
Drive your vehicle, get used to it, and like Simon said, read and get a feel for differing opinions.

The first damage I did was bend the rear tierod and total the dampner
Relocate the steering dampner to the front with a rovertym relocation kit or one from rockware.net and use the D-90 ome dampner.
