Have a stock 95 Disco w/53K miles. Get a very bad shake between 50 - 60 miles per hour. Or when climbing & increasing load. Then goes away when you hit about 70. Could it be a bad roto flex or steering damper? TIA

the steering damper would be more noticable when driving on bad pavement or dirt roads. not so much at cruising speeds. the roto would/will have cracks and other visible damage if it is causing vibes. first check wheel balance. yes it seems obvious, but half the time i get my wheels rebalanced and the shakes are gone. check the panhard and other steering components to make sure they are snug and all. and last but not least make sure your lugs and tight too.
driveline vibes feel different than steering component vibes....with a damper the front end and steering feels very loose and whobbly. driveline (roto, etc.) feels to be more in the seat of your pants vibes. hope that is not taken the wrong way. :)
