believe it or not, the 235/85-16 tucks nicer than the 245/75-16. and the OME lift, will give the balanced look.

ho, that is a great shot(very nice disco)...it looks like those are disco steel wheels..will 16x7s work as well? the style from gcr?
By Ho Chung (Ho) on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 - 04:39 am: Edit |
oh no, not the cheep wheels.!!
the gcr wheels stick out more than the stock disco wheels for about 1.25 inches... you'll need even more cutting.
the wheels in that pic are the disco steel wheels. those are 16x7 as well.

The picture of my truck in the photo gallery has 235s with HD lift. The picture on the beach. The 235s are narrower than the 245s, like Ho says, and seem to stuff better and don't impact turning radius quite as much.

so the disco steel wheels are the same size as the gcr ones? more cutting? only in the rear of the rear wheel well correct? my main concern is stuffing in the top part of the wheel weel...i wont be hitting the outer part of the top wheel well with these wheels with the extra backspacing?

ahh steve, green...
green is a different type of color.... it's the real deal disco color. above and beyond any other colors. thats' why i didnt' even mention, i thought it was such an obvious thing...

whats the power loss/trimming/fuel efficiency change on the 235/85/16 Vs. other sizes? will that fit with the LR heavy duty springs on 1.5 inches lift? rubbing?
By Steve (Steve2) on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 - 10:11 pm: Edit |
power loss - slight but nothing 3rd and momentum can't fix.
fuel efficiency - about the same as stock for me - i drive like an old fart
1.5" - should be fine- i got 2.5" from my saggies and that works great. did a CT cut and no rubbing as of yet - and i don't anticipate any.
