When my 99 D1 is cold it does not clank or clunk when I shift into reverse or drive (smooth as silk). If I ever need to change gears after it warms up, it sounds like my transmission is about to explode. I took it to the dealership (since it's under warranty) looking for an explanation. The service manager told me that it's just a LR thing. He said he could get one of their nicest rigs and make it sound that way. Well yeah, MAKE it sound that way. I want a D1 to "naturally" sound that way if it's a LR thing. Anyone else experience these clunks? I've looked in other seeds but no one really explains their misfortunes.

I have a similar problem with my 95 Disco. Is it time to rebuilt the transmission. I hope not. Anyone has a suggestion?

Thanks.
