I have finally accumulated enough money to further mod my 94 Disco!! After seeing the Super Swamper SSR tires in action last week (in mud, sand, hills and on-road) I am greatly considering them for my Disco. My question is: Will a OME HD lift accommodate these tires in 265/70-16? I should mention that I have AR steel wheels that have 4.25" back-spacing. I am willing to do some trimming to fit these meats on my Disco.

I have OME HDs and the 265 70 16s swampers is no problem except you have to cut your rear panels to accomodate the wheels during flex action. I have the geniune LR steels on them. Too heavy set of rubbers for a stock ratio. Put the swampers and the ARs on a scale? How heavy?

Thanks for the response. I heard that the Swamper SSR's are really heavy tires. I will re-gear to 4:10 when I do get the new tires on. I am worried about the front not stuffing and the rear(under compression) hitting the door.

I have them on my 97' with OME HD in front and MD in back. I also have $G rear bumper with fenders cut out and ARB front bumper also.

I have them on 16x7 LR steel rims. Yes, they are heavy.....I have not regeared yet and they do fine.

Also, I happen to be selling them and the rims....let me know if you want to save some bucks.

I will sell (4) SSR's for $475

They have about 6000 miles on them...lot's of wear left. Pics of tires in gallery under scott blanton
