Started the ol' 95 disco up the other morning after a cold evening. After a 5 minute idle/warm up I came out of the house and was treated to a small puddle of ATF on the driveway. After further inspection, I determined the ATF was coming from one of the tranny cooler lines. The funny thing about this problem is that it only seems to happen when it's cold. I fired it up again later on that afternoon and let it idle and there was no evidence of fluid loss. Has anyone else had this problem? I read a previous post where someone quoted $200 to replace both lines, are there cheaper alternatives available?
On another note, I just bought some Beck Arnt. parts (cap, rotor, front and rear brake pads) from Checker Auto. The guy behind the counter told me all of the parts have a lifetime replacement warranty on them. Aren't caps/rotors and brake pads designed to wear out?

I just replaced my lines also all the Power steering lines. PIA to do them but the Disco was marking its territory worse than my great Dane.

The hardest part was degreasing it all, Hard to track down the leak after all areas are coated then to find out my oil sump screws were all loose. I believe the guy fired at Harley Davidson for designing the sealing surfaces trained the LR
design team.

Contact Nathan at [email protected] for parts if you a DIY type. If not 200 seems right. 1.5 hr for labor + 20% mu on parts?

For cheaper you can remove the hard pipe and find a Hose shop to fit new rubber. but the price I paid and I did the work my self this was the best.

You will need a stubby open end wrench ((I forgot what MM I used.)) for the upper line, Also get a few extra orings. and the crush ring for the sensor.

Really PO the clerk remove the pads every 6 months when they glaze and the backs are all rusted and return them, same with the rotor once some water hits it.

If it sells as life time use what there selling
and Beck Arnt. you will be going back often

i jsust did this on the RaRo and i replaced a section with a rubber hose. the damn hose blew up on me a few days later. so if you do use rubber hose make sure it is some high pressure stuff.
