I run colway remoulds 205's. i was wondering what the minium tyre pressure would be. i have no inner tubes and standard disco rims. There is no max/min pressure details on the tyres. Perhaps somone has some knowledge on this?

Depends on what you want.
for the street, I would'nt go lower than 30.
Try 40 to start.
For sand, 7-10 is ok, but you can and will loose a bead if you hit things hard....

i had a few problem with mud at the weekend. no sand around here. My main worry was in fact loosing the bead. Perhaps i ought to fit tubes?
(On the road i run 38 rear and 28 front. Factory recomendations)Thanks.

The only mud I know either has a bottom or not. If it has one, you need a good mud tread that digs through to the bottom to get traction. You just keep your tires hard and spin them fast to clean them out. If there is no bottom, you don't belong there anyway, get out the winch. The disco will never float...

so... you saying i need a higher pressure to 'cut' through the mud? Why have i always lowered my pressures?? (confused beginner)

in most mud, the disco will sink. the faster, the better (assuming there's some hard bottom underneath).

airing down may help in sand/snow/rocks, but not necessarily.

...you can go pretty low with stock Disco wheels because of the extra bead cast into the wheel. They may loose some air when you're down below 15 lbs but they should stay put. Beware of rocks when you run that low a pressure - one wrong hit and you'll loose your seal.

I've never had the guts to run less then ~15 lbs.
