Is there any other underdrives made for the LT230 transfer case other than the one by ECR for $2700? If so is it cheaper like how the Klune V is $1000 less? I've seen some called marlin crawlers for toyotas that are made out of a second transfer case that are only about $1200 with a core charge, would this be possible on a rover?

I dont think so I am familiar with the Marlin and they are bad ass..Seen them on cruisers and toy pickups...I think the underdrive is the only thing availible for rover..you can get lower t case gears for cheaper than a under drive...the guys on here said it wouldnt be a good idea to have a under drive with a AUTO trans.

Timm cooper made one underdrive.

As I have said before the ticket to ride is 4.75s in the diffs and a 1.003 LT230

You get a good crawl and still keep decent high range

I thought the "low" gearsets for LT230 is around $1400? Maybe I'm mistaken.

Ali,

You are thinking of the GBR low gear set and yes. BUT 1.003 is a stock LR high range gear set so it is cheap (no extra cost on a rebuilt LT230). So you get a relatively less gearing (stock is 1.22) on the high range but your low stays the same. So therefore you can run 4.75s in the difs which gives you lower low range but still allows good speed in high range.
