Use the composite gasket when RR he heads.
I would go for valves springs and seals while off
the car. Does 1000 cover all that or just RR and new copper gasket?

Full retail on the parts
valve cover gaskets 19.00ea
intake manifold gasket 32.50
Head gasket (fiber Type) 29.75ea
Valley pan gasket 6.75.
Parts 136.75
Labor 12.33 hours @ 70.00 = 863.10
Twelve hours seems a little slow!
Or is your Labor rate higher?

Remember that you'll lose some compression if you switch to the composite gasket (thicker) unless you skim the heads at the same time - adding more cost.

Ok add 80.00 for head milling.

I was told that but with a fresh set of heads I did not feel any loss of power. I would not use any other type myself, Labor seems a bit high what part of the country are you in? Or is this a LR Dealer?

Thanks for the info guys. I don't mind paying a little more than you specified oldscout They always give me great service and do things without charge for me. The little things that mean a lot. Well that is with plugs and a oil change.
