Tony - if it was just a sensor out of adjustment - a short drive should turn the light off - should only take a couple miles max. If not, then you may have another sensor out or a bad sensor or an altogether different ABS problem.

My ABS light started staying on when it wanted, coming on for no reason, etc., with no traceable fault in any of the ABS components. I was patient for a couple years...
...then I removed the bulb.

My '95 does the same intermittantly. I've tried tapping the sensors down, but the problem still crops up again. It seems to be a problem with the sensor rather than with the ABS itself. However, I read on this board a while back that when you start the truck, if you back up several feet and hit the brakes it "re-gaps" the sensor and the light will go off once you get up to speed. Works like a charm!!!

In the Discotech article, at East Coast Rover, they were disconnecting the ABS system. They did not say what they were doing to accomplish this for obvious liability reasons. However, on this board everything seems to be up for discussion.
Do any of you know how to disconnect the system. As we all know the ABS system is junk.
Thanks,
Brett
