I have a 96 Disco that I bought used about 20k miles ago. I have been having the same vibration since I bought it. The vibration only seems to occur when I am in fourth gear, I let off the gas for a moment to slow down (no brakes), and then accelerate again. The vibration is strong enough to make things in the truck shake. It will stop if I gun the truck to make it downshift. It is not the balancing of the wheels, and Land Rover Richmond could not figure out what it was either. I do notice that the low v high gear selector shakes when the vibration occurs. Does anyone have any clues as to what this could be?

Josh,

Load up a set of RTE Sliders (60 lbs a side) and throw on a loaded roofrack (110 lbs) and you may lower the rig enough to correct that drive angle problem...
