Need to take off the head light guards of my factory wrap around brush bar so that I can get my car inspected. Is there an easy way to do this or do I have to un-mount the thing to get at the allen screws by the turn signals?

Eric-
Two thumb screws hold on each lamp guard where they touch the 'A-frame' portion of the bar. That's all.

... but those things sometimes rust on (ask me how I know). In that case, spray as much WD-40 on the bolt as you can (space is tight) let it soak some, and try removing them again. That didn't work for me, so eventually the plastic caps broke off and I was able to unscrew the bolts with a beefy flathead screwdriver (a Phillips head could work, too; you'll see how). Unscrewing that Torx screw you mentioned on the bar by the turn signal won't get you very far, unfortunately.

Well I saw those, nice and frozen on too.. Already ripped one of the plastic knobs and the bolt still didn't turn. I'm wondering about the allen screws that are attatching it by the turn signals. I can't get at them to un bolt them. Or is there a trick to that?

Jon, so what you are saying is that I should be able to wiggle the covers off once I get those rusted on screws off that screw into the A frame?

Yeah. Those screws hold it in place at the "A" frame, and the grilles press-fit in there, using that little screw next to the turn signal as a locating pin to keep the other end in place. The grilles remove and replace very easily.

Or take the whole bar off, get the inspection done, then mount it again. Could be easier at this point.....
