What's the socket used for the D1 4.0 valve covers? Is it an 8mm star socket?

I think I had to use an 8MM nut driver the 1/4 dr socket was too fat, Gasket time?

Probably just need to use a 12-point socket.

I use an 8mm 12 point 3/8" drive thin wall deep socket from Sears. It's the only one that fits and even then it's real tight to the covers.

I tried the 12pt 1/4 dr. But the nut driver was a better choice for me.
