I am still having a problem with my central locking system on my 1994 Discovery. The first indication that something was going wrong was when I used the key fob to lock the vehicle, they began to sound like they were barely locking (sluggish). In other words, locking more slowly.

Then, after about a week of this, they ceased to work at all.

It also will not lock all the doors work when the drivers door is manually locked from inside the car.

The situation is this, when pushing the key fob, or using the drivers lock to try to lock all doors, the only thing that happens is there is a weak sound eminating from the doors, as if they are trying to lock but can't. All the doors make this sound upon depressing the button.

I was the drivers door actuator, so I purchased a new one. The problem was still there.

I checked the green relay by the LH footwell and heard it click at the same time as the doors would also make noise when the key fob was pushed. Same thing happened when I checked the ECU for the locking system in the RH footwell.

I was told it was another actuator. I removed all the door panels, (all 5) and disconnected each plug from each actuator until the only one still connected was the drivers door. When I pushed the key fob, the same thing happened, which is nothing.

Upon checking the voltage at the various plugs (plugs to the actuators) I found it to only be 10.05volts. I then removed two actuators and hooked them up directed to a 12v battery. They worked perfectly.

Ok, I know this was long, but I'm at a loss to figure this out. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
