About the DiscoWeb DVD'sThe DiscoWeb DVD's are created on DVD-R, not injection molded like most Hollywood releases. The DVD-R format use a slightly different laser wavelength than most mass produced DVD's. Most newer DVD players should not have a problem playing back a DVD-R, however. Check this page to see if your DVD player is compatible with DVD-R: http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php DiscoWeb use DVD-R because of the relative low volume of each title we sell. If we used mass produced DVD's instead, the cost would be prohibitive, and we would not be able to release any DVD's at all. The DiscoWeb DVD's are created on Verbatim DVD-R. Verbatim DVD-R are not the cheapest DVD's available, but they are considered to be the brand that exhibits the least amount of compatibility issues. We have to date had no incidents where a customer have not been able to play back our DVD's on a compatible player. The only brand DVD player we are aware of that has a problem playing back DVD-R, are certain Apex model players. Some older DVD players may also have an issue with DVD-R. If you do experience playback problems, most likely your DVD player is incompatible with the DVD-R format. We recommend that you check your player against the compatibility chart at http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php If your player is listed as compatible, you should if possible try to play it back on another player. If this still does not work, you may have a bad disk. In this case, contact us and we will replace it or work out a solution on a case by case basis. If you are not living in USA or Canada, you should also read about Foreign video orders prior to ordering.
