Has a DiscoWeb seller gone above and beyond for you? Post up here and let the rest of the board know about the positive transactions you've had.

This thread is just for positive experiences. Negative posts will be moderated.

If you have an issue with a seller, you can report it to me via PM and we will look into it. As I've said before, if your issue turns into a he-said/she-said argument, we may ban both you and the seller.

I'll get this going with two recommendations.

The boys at Lucky8 have always shipped quickly and offer excellent prices and have great communication. If I'm buying off-road parts for the D110 or OEM parts for my LR4, they're the first ones I call.

Brian Hall (DefendersNW) is one of the best guys in the Rover business, though he only deals in Defender parts. He doesn't post here much but he's my go-to guy for anything for my Defender. He guided me through rebuilding my 110 and is the guy you should call for restoration work on these trucks.

I've always had good experiences with Joel at Buckhorn Imports (username here is crown14).

Will Tillery has always come through for me; often in a hurry and always with great prices.

I highly recommend Marty Powell for overnight fuel pump shipments…never a issue and always seems to have the random parts I'm looking for...

Tillery is my go-to guy. If he can't get it I search it online. Between Amazon and Atlantic British I can get the things I need. Ebay as a last resort, but sometimes ebay it is.

Since getting the Series, I've found myself on the Rovers North site a little more often.

I try to spread the wealth among vendors who have earned my trust:

  • Will Tillery for most Disco 1 parts I've needed, always quick delivery at reasonable prices and consistently high quality. All parts come with a warranty.
  • Marty Powell has come through with some oddball parts that I've been unable to find anywhere else and has been creative and accommodating with shipping. Sent me an entire rear quarter panel once.
  • Lucky 8 has good selection and great service, always been happy to do business with them.
  • Paul Grant has been a reliable source of quality used parts at good prices.
  • Elias Christeas has offered up some great deals on used parts, some of which I've been able to snag, others I've been too slow. Has also provided technical advice.
  • PT Schram is someone from whom I occasionally try to buy parts, but he usually talks me out of it and gives me advice for how to solve a problem without replacing the part. Sometimes he just sends me parts for free.
  • If there is a part I absolutely must have new and the usual suspects don't have it, Rovers North and Atlantic British have both been commendable with service and can talk me through choices when more than one option exists. Sometimes Rovers North has offered unadvertised specials on certain parts, I feel they've gone out of their way to provide a good value.
According to my records I've spent more than $3,000 in parts with these vendors over the last 6 years. I'll probably spend at least that much over the next six years. Thank goodness we have the luxury of several suppliers for parts to keep older trucks running.

I also always have good service from Zack at Rovers North. I almost always buy Genuine parts from them because they are only slightly more than what I would pay at the dealership (employee pricing) and are much more likely to get it right.

Erik at Lucky 8 is usually my first stop for parts. But another vendor I've had good luck with and that has not been mentioned yet is Trevor at Rovah Farm. He has a good selection of parts at good prices. That are searchable by part number online and typically ships quickly.

Someone earned some fireball on the next car camping trip....

As far as used parts, Joel @ Buckhorn and Marty have been more than helpful; and I send all my used business that way.

I get my ashcroft stuff from Lucky8. I can buy direct and they still give me better prices.

I can confirm that Lucky 8 and Will Tillery are both good people to deal with for your rover needs.

You sure that wasn't me? The 33 rounder? I've ingested a lot of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, so that may just be the sugar talking.

They're. Stupid.
Been having good luck with LRDirect for those parts that are really expensive state side but cheaper overseas.
Get my parts in less than a week.

Eric Riston at Atlantic British
Zack at Rovers North
Trevor at Rovahfarm
I've had good service from Turner Engineering, LRDirect, Paddocks and a couple of others from the UK as well.

I do miss George at Rovers Down South - it was always fun to pick up the phone and give him a call.

LRDirect for sure. Terrafirma diff guards $45 cheaper each than stateside, and $43 total for DHL express international shipping. That's 3-day shipping from the U.K. to California for $43.

ETA: I ordered some stuff from them about a week ago. Steering guard I couldn't find here. It shipped last Monday from Bristol, England, and was delivered to my house in So Cal on Wednesday afternoon. $48.00.

I can't even get shit shipped from the East Coast on anything but eBay for that price, for 35# (15.5kg).

Hello everyone,

I am back to say THANK YOU for all the references on Will Tillery

"Will" has far exceeded any expectations, I have ever had doing business online with a person I don't really know much about.

After the first delivery, he has been right there to guide me on any needs - as for me - I too have been bitten by the Rover Bug - I saw the vehicle as a daily driver, but as I work on it more and more - I am finding myself bonding with this oil leaking beast.

As far as Will Tillery is concerned, Please let this forum post string become a resource for all new-comers on this forum. Will has proven himself to be trust-worthy, knowledgeable, and RELIABLE. I sent him CASH 1900 miles away - he could have walked - but he did the right thing.

His prices blow away just about any LR site I have been too. He delivered as promised - to describe the transaction - its like doing business with the " Rover Whisperer" this guy knows his stuff. Whats most important is that he is a rare find in this world. Now a days, good people are hard to find.

I have never personally met him, but via telephone and email - I can't say enough good things about Will Tillery. Some parts arrived the next day, some on Sunday, some arrived before I even paid him - the guy is a Rover Part Ninja. You will not be sorry if you use Will for anything.

Thanks again to all for the references on Will - I hope this forum string brings Will a lot more business in the future. He has earned my business hands down.

Happy New Year!
