Dig up Ben Little's FS thread for his D1 over on ExPo or on EE. There's another nice list of mods and parts on the first page of the thread "The Difference a Couple of Hours Can Make" which is also on the EE BBS.

Not hoarding the rear bumper scored off Will awhile back, it went straight on my 5speed.

As an aside we may argue about many things but Dan's list is spot on for how to put together a solid tasteful D1z. There is something sublime about that platform and most of the time less is more with them. Only took me 3 to figure that out.

I agree, I'll star looking for step by step electrical installation guides next, power inverter, 2 amps, aux lighting, switch plates, fuse block, etc

X2 on what Ray said. If only there'd been a similar list or build for DII's I could've followed in my younger years before I went overboard

I forgot to mention the D90 front brake conversion. Worth every penny once you fit a larger tire.

Shhhhh... remember that one time Marco went through that really deep puddle?

He just might need a snorkel if he ever does that again...

There mirrors are not expensive, but it's one of the little things that make your truck better.

Where did you get this? I have searched everywhere, Is it a DII?

I'm not sure why the price is so high, but here it is http://www.roversnorth.com/ProductDe...D100650&type=0
I would not pay that. That's just too much.

It's a Land Rover part. The item number is CRD100650A. Might try LR Direct or even Will Tillery.

RN's part is Gen-u-wine. LR Direct has Shitpart and Bearmach, as well. They do not specify if it's convex but since that's the passenger side in the UK, I suppose that it is.

EE sold the genuine mirror as well. It think it was like $45. So that means a genuine mirror could be had for $25 some place else. I just did not see them in a quick Google search.

CRD100650 costs more than $45 direct from LR, so you're likely referencing an outdated price.

Looking back in the history, they used to be $24 from LR in 2012

Late to the party. So glad I'm not the only one who's carried squares on their roof rack....

Well... I was at Rausch Creek PA last weekend and I was blindly following Trevor G and Devildog/Brett when we ended up at some place called Lake Christie.
Hood deep water had me thinking about snorkels again.
My air filter got damp.
Just the tip, though.
