Hoping you guys can help me diagnose. I have and 04 D2.
I replaced the following parts (mostly preventative but truck was hitting 234* in the desert):
New radiator: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/PCC000710
New fan/clutch: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/PGG000080
New t-stat: http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/PEL500110
Coolant: Using Peak global lifetime instead of the Dex
New odyssey battery
Immediately the truck ran about 10* warmer (via scan gauge) after replacing the above. I've done the following so far to try and fix the problem:
Complete coolant flush to ensure no blockage and air in the system
Replaced T-stat (AB sent me another one)
None of the above has helped. Scanguage around town is reading 209*-216* consistently under normal driving.
The original t-stat I had on prior to replacing everything was the 180* OE from LR (blk or grey one). Could that be the issue? IS the Motorad one crap?
Next thing I'm thinking is that there might be a problem with the new radiator? This seems unlikely.
Thanks for any help or guidance.
