Hi, I have a chance to
Pick up a Dodge Ram heavy duty bull with winch brackets. I would like to
Put on my98 disco. Has anyone ever retrofit one? Is it possible?
I live in Nova Scotia, so parts are hard
To come by. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It is probably wider than your truck by a foot and a half.

If you are handy with a torch or plasma and a welder you could cut and shrink it down. Might be tough to get the proportions looking right. Mine just mounts with 2 flat plates on the outside of the frame horns, easy enough to do that part.

If you are handy with a torch and welder and shipping is a deal breaker it may be easier to just build one.

I dont see anyway that a dodge ram bumper lines up at all

Thanks for the info. I knew I would have to do a lot of mods to it. It is a killer deal for what it is, enough to justify the mods. I had thought about making one but this seemed to be an easier option. I was just wondering if anyone faced the same
Type of options.

Well, it is often true that the most expensive things I have I got for free. On a serious note, bumpers/winch mounts etc for Jeep XJ body style are pretty darned close in size. Down here they are plentiful and cheap on the used market.
