If you're in there doing the wire tap, you might as well just yank the ECU and fix the solder joint properly instead. It's about 15 additional minutes from the point of removing the glove box to access the wires that you're jumping

What's the point? What does it get me that the bypass doesn't?

I figured it out. Used the attached troubleshooting method to determine it needed power to the White/Pink wire coming out od connector C288. Used my test light to figure out which pin on C2073 has power in Position 2.
It was a Blue/Re wire for me, far bottom left when looking at the back of connector C2073.
