What is the best way to remove the centering bushing inside the end of the driveshaft aside from the expensive "removal tool". Anyone have a specific technique??

Thanks

Buy one.

Or go to your local autoparts store and ask if they have a loaner. Many do.

That is for removing the centering peg on the diff -

I am replacing the bushing on the rotoflex end of the driveshaft - bush is inside the driveshaft - saw chisel, hammer and lots of curing - any other civilized method?

This link is for a blind hole bearing puller - which is exactly what you need to pull the bush out of the driveshaft.
