If you dont want to spring the $$ for the QT solid mounts just yet, and you are sick of paying so much for new D2 mounts every time you go wheeling, then this may be of interest to you. Turns out the 300TDI engine mounts just happen to fit another application, wanna guess what it is? The best part is, the NTC9416 is less than $20 apeice, whereas the D2 part number is over three times as much.

You're welcome.

Wait, you mean to tell me that something Land Rover makes can break? No Way!

But really, are they better because they can handle the torque of the 300TDI or is it just because they are cheaper?

Rovers North sells them. I sucessfully installed some over the weekend, although the driver side is a little tight it should be fine. The heatshield on the pass side will need to be tweaked some to fit over the beefier 300tdi mount, or removed altogether if you so choose.

I dont know if they are stronger or not, but they are so much cheaper it is certianly worth a try.

I'm saying if you have busted the ones you have, why replace with another set of the same when you can get the HD ones from QT? Obviously they cost alot more but wont fail

Thanks for the input!
I'll go for the 300 Tdi ones. My RRC 300 Tdi still has the original ones after 22 years! Not the same can be said of my D2, though.
So I'll get the 300 Tdi ones. Obviously I'll need new nuts FX112041Lx4 because the bolt of the stock D2 b8 ones looks of much smaller diameter
I will now how to check if tranny mounts from the RRC300 Tdi can fit the D2 (gearbox, not transfer) that is using the ANR3200 and ANR3201, as KQB500560 and KQB500550 look exactly the same

. My D2 is a v8 5-speeder so might have to check dimensions and so on.
Anyone tried the complete swap set (I mean the 300 Tdi complete seat tranny and motor) Best regards

Update: Mounts changed to 300 Tdi spec NTC9416. Shudder/judder in cold pull aways is almost gone, truck is much more silent. But.. what a PITA is to remove left hand mount upper nut, even removing complete air cleaner duct and exhaust manifold (that one because one exhaust stud was broken...). total time around6 hs (which included a bicycle trip to search one exhaust manifold to downtube gasket....)
So thanks for the input

Some days later, here are the pics.
In the D2 left mount (dirvers' side) is a PITA, especially if your truck is ACE-equipped
right side

Left side: remove intake tube and MAF, plug leads, complete exhaust manifold (because one of the studs broke). Almost no space to remove manifold

19 mm socket or spanner, no problem in the lower ones,
Upper ones more difficult, and left one a nightmare

left one, the worst one

Both ones, ready to use as paperweight or to throw at people I don't like...

And that's the exhaust manifold gasket, well blown, and was only 8 yrs old, Maybe th one who did the HG job did not renew it...

Finally it's smooth.

300 TDI mounts (NTC9416), share even nut dimensions (M10)

best regards to all
