94 RRC dome lights don't work, ever

I've only had this one for about a year but the dome lights have never worked. bulbs are fine. the 15A fuse is also ok. the switch on the dash does nothing. i did test switch for continuity when on and its ok. door switches have continuity when doors are open. i even hear the relay under the driver seat click when i push the driver door switch in and out.

I know there is a timer relay under the steering column, but its my understanding that only controls how long they stay on after you close the door. mine don't work at all no matter what I do. Everything else seems to work on it.

I had the same problem with a '95 R.R.C.. It turned out to be a corroded connector under the carpet. Try to get a copy of the "RAVE" manual on line, it will have wiring and component info to help trace out problem areas. As you've probably noted there are many places a fault can occur. As a note: even if a relay 'kicks', it doesn't always make the proper out going connection.
