04' Disco Whining during Acceleration and Stearing

Couple days back, my '04 Disco with 103K miles started making a louder whining/ higher pitched humming during acceleration. This sound was substantially worse while making right and left turns. In fact just moving the wheel a bit seems to make it worse. Yesterday, after the truck was warm, the sound went away completely. It has now returned.

Pump is leaking at a nice pace. Thanks for the tip. And yes my driveway is an array or an assortment of many different fluids over the years! Replacing this weekend!
