I have used the Crower cams and lifters in rover engines for over 10 years now. Great product and great service. Nice power bump. No reason to look at anything else.

You can get a stock 4.6 cam that would work fine. That said, the Crower line is great. The 53229 is a slight bump in performance where the 53230 is a greater bump even though the grind specs look close. For your application the 53229 would be the best choice. Higher lift with short duration is best for providing greater power while holding close to factory rpm range. The longer the duration the higher the rpms before the engine starts producing real power due to overlap and scavenging. That does not equate to good low rpm offroad performance.
