My water pump is making a really bad grinding noise and I'm going to replace it before the front falls off. It's less than three years old, but I'm going to replace it anyway. I think it was an AllMakes part.

Which leads me to the tensioner pulleys. I didn't replace them when I did the head gaskets, but thinking of doing it now. The parts PDF shows them as:
etc6159 tension pulley
614718 Assy Mounting arm/Bearing/Pulley

Both available from LRDirect.

Has anyone used the replacement parts?

I may have a spare tensioner pulley I pulled from my last D1. If you want it let me know and I'll look in my parts collection. Assuming it's compatible with the engine you're putting it on. Not clear from your post what that is.

You may be planning to do this already, but if not I suggest you buy new hardware for the water pump installation. I learned this lesson the very hard and expensive way.

oops, sorry. 1990 RRC 3.9
I'd like to go new or rebuilt if I could. I know my pulley bearings have 28 years and 160,000 miles on them. I think fresh bearings/assemblies would ease my mind.

I finally decided to work on the truck and order the part.
Turns out it was just the idler pulley causing the noise. I got a used one from Chad, then set about ordering one from LRDirect.
It turns out the two parts are the same, and prices vary on the two pages. They're from $50 to $260. The parts should be here by the weekend, and I'll have a spare for the shelf.

btw, I have a spare water pump for the 3.9L if anyone in Az needs one quickly. :D
