I've got a good SD rack for a D1. I'll never own another D1 and would be willing to trade straight up for a SD D2 rack. Any takers?

I was faced with the same issue and decided to cut and lengthen mine. I had some trouble finding the right diameter tubing but found that you can cut a section out of the center and use it for splices. Then you can section the center tubes with the replacement tube that is only slightly larger diameter. I had to lengthen the rack in the rear section 4-6" and at the same time I added a few additional bars to grab onto when getting in. You should be able to have this done for $100-200.

Never occurred to me to lengthen a DI rack. I?m just a looser and run a DI rack on my DII...

The trouble to lengthen one isn't worth it. I presently run a D1 on my D2 too, hence, the offer to swap.
