It's always been one of my favorite trucks. The first few years with the BMW engine should be avoided at all cost. But I think an 08 or 09 would be the best.

I've had mostly good luck with my 05...some typical things. The VANOS rattle for a second at start up, new steering column to fix the key issue. Hands down best driver I've ever owned of anything, not just Rovers.

Love the Mark III (hate the designation "L322"). Even love the "side gills" the author finds distasteful. As a side note I went on line and priced a new Velar and a new Sport (didn't even bother with the new full-sized). I tried to be conservative on my on-line 'build', and still had sticker shock.....
