Would the transfer case from a DI work in our '03?

Some thoughts, not that I have done this: From what I have read you could do it. Compare the models to see if you are getting the new improved "quiet" version or not if you care about that. With that case I think you will get a speedometer gear that you won't care about. I don't know about the ebrake but I would kind of assume that the cable is different?

Front flange will need to be swapped around, otherwise, there is no reason not to. Many folks have older t-cases in their Disco IIs.
Thanks, that means I will keep the broke one, get it rebuilt, and even if I never get around to putting it in my wife's soccer-mom Disco with the SD rack, I will keep it on hand and it will be a great selling point for the car in a few years when she wants an LR3, and one of you wants a 4.6 with a CDL!
Actually... maybe in 5 years or so, I'll keep the '03 for myself and the XD could go on to new owners and pay for my build up of the '03.
